THINGS I'VE HEARD

‎"If you need to shave, and you still collect baseball cards, you're gay. If you're a kid, the cards are keepsakes of your idols. If you're a grown man, they're pictures of men."

FOURTH DAY IN SAN DIEGO for COMIC CON and FUNDAYS

The fourth day in San Diego was to be a busy one.We had breakfast at the Keating House Bed and Breakfast of course and we sure appreciated the great breakfast each morning. On the way to the convention we ran into Obama and some dudes moving a blue box. When we got inside we ran into The Hulk and PeeWee and Batman and Wonder Woman. We left the convention at lunch and spotted The Knight Rider Car along the way.Superboy was there to.It was getting time to head back to the film festival portion of our day.we really wanted to see Foot:Phantom of the Forest.we got there early enough to watch a few others and stayed for a bit and watched a few after. They were all very interesting films.I really liked Foot.It was time to head to the Funko Booth for the prototype raffle. The big Funko party was this night and you might remember I was inducted into the Hall of Fame this night so we left the convention and went to The Keating House to get rid of our stuff and clean up a bit.It seems a shirtless guy always catches my eye.We arrived at the Party Room as the band was warming up.The band was/is The Gin Pistons and they really rocked the house.Cameron is seen signing folks in.Inside we ran into Captain crunch.Mike Becker the founder of Funko sat at our table and I was honored to sit with him.We hung out at the Elephant Castle after the party and chatted with friends including Wild Bill and Wild Berk.

RYAN WHITFIELD is MARK in SOUTHERN BAPTIST SISSIES opening this weekend

The Weekend Theater will show off its newly remodeled digs this week with the opening of Del Shore's Southern Baptist Sissies. It is a hilarious play that also has moments of anger and depression. You should be warned that you will leave the theater emotionally drained. It is mostly the story of four gay men in a southern baptist church in Texas. The lead character Mark is played by Ryan Whitfield and is pictured in all the pics shown.

THIRD DAY in SAN DIEGO for COMIC CON ...

Breakfast started with a piece of fruit and ended with bunches of other good stuff. When we got to the convention we encountered some super heroes including my fave Robin. We then visited my friend Brian who had to be the only person wearing a sweatshirt in San Diego. He owns Super 7 and I love him and depend on him for so much in my collecting adventure.In-N Out was our lunch destination.Their cheeseburgers and fries are awesome. After lunch we headed back to the convention to the Funko Booth for the raffle drawing and meeting up with other funatics where petting the Sleestak became a daily routine.Thats Bo the mountain man and super nice guy with the beard.Dinner was at Dick's Last Resort and while waiting outside for our groups table Ron stuck his tongue out and I got Superman to Pose by the Phone Booth.Once seated they give you hats to wear that say crazy things.it was time to call it a day and head to our Bed but before that a ride from the Turkish Taxi Boi around the city where I saw the Skater Boi.
