WHEN DARKNESS FALLS & THE BEST OF CARE

I experianced a double dose of fright early this morning.I watched WHEN DARKNESS FALLS first and while I am usually not a fan of this genre of film it was just bad enough and cheesy enough to get a giggle or two out of me.The actors are all eye appealing and easy to watch but really don't have many acting skills.I guess thats kinda what one expects from a zombie movie.If bad acting and the walking dead are your thing WHEN DARKNESS FALLS is a must see.I continued on with THE BEST OF CARE.While the acting in this movie was 1000% better than the first movie I watched I didn't like this movie at all.The story is a sucky kinda story where when your faced with the option of just leaving and getting away or sticking around when your miserable in your situation to the point of killing someone you care about because the pain is to great you stay and eventually murder.It really made no sense to me.Both movies are packaged together on one disc and recently released.

MY FATHER : THERAL MORGAN

My father was born in 1934 and died in 1980.He has been gone 3 more more years than i had him in my life.Father's Day reminds me about my dad but the truth is I think about him often and visit his resting place quite frequently.Happy Father's Day Dad.

The Sex Movie

I just got through watching The Sex Movie.It was quite good.The four main characters gave strong performances.This movie will not be out on DVD until October 21 2007.I highly recommend this film.It is a very frank discussion on sex and relationships by the characters representing 1)a straight man 2)a gay man 3)a straight woman and 4)a gay woman.Feel free to visit the films official website www.thesexmovie.com/ .

TODAY'S STREET HAPPENINGS : JUNE 16 2007

These are some of the happenings in our neighborhood today.Some happy Twisted shoppers carry their yellow bag full of goodies while 3 guys stroll down the sidewalk adjusting clothes and stuff as 2 more guys arrive for Pizza and Beer.That's Jimmy the infamous FEDEX man from last night back again for lunch and cruising it would appear.One of the WEEKEND THEATER actors wearing a green T-Shirt arrives for tonights play.

YELLOW CAB with a WHITE CAP

People come to our shop in various ways.Some peddle their bicycle and some arrive in their BMW's and others may choose the TAXI CAB as the good looking guy with the white ballcap did this morning.

SUPER 7 & the RED LUCKY CAT

As most of you know by now I am a Collector of Toys.I have spoke many times about Funko the Wacky Wobbler Maker.I actually have another company I do a lot of business with and thats SUPER 7 in San Francisco.It's through Super 7 I am able to get most of the REAL x HEAD toys that are made in limited quantities in Japan.I received this Red Version of the Lucky Cat today.The Lucky Cats are not my favorite of the REAL HEADS but being REAL HEADS I have no choice but to add them to the collection.You see thats what collecting is an addiction.My favorite REAL HEADS are the MUTANT EVIL and MUTANT HEAD .I will post some pics of those characters soon.If you like Japanese Toys and haven't heard of Super 7 you should check them out at WWW.SUPER7STORE.COM or call 415.409.4700 and ask for ISAAC or any of the other rad SUPER 7 workers.You may get lucky and get the leader Brian a SUPER guy running a SUPER company with the help of a lot of Super people.

GOOD BOYS : MENI & TAL

I just finished watching and reading this film.I usually don't get to far with a subtitled movie but this one held my interest.The acting was good and the filmaker new how to tell a story.It is a seedy story of sex and drugs in Tel Aviv.My only major complaint was the fact i was at the end left hungry for more.I wanted to see what happened with all the characters.They were all so interesting and anything and everything could have happened with them.I think most of all I wanted to know if the child stayed with Meni or went to a social worker.I had a lot of questions at the end.I guess a film that make you care about the worst of characters and have you asking questions at the end has done its job well.I enjoyed this film and think you will too.

JIMMY the FEDEX MAN

Jimmy our cute as a button FedEx delivery guy and his recent bride stopped in tonight to purchase a toy and browse around the store while their friends were getting tats and/or piercings next door.Like I said Jimmy brings us packages during the day and he is very professional at his job.We are lucky to have him as one of our delivery persons.

JOHN the BARTENDER & BEAR TRACKS 3

John the bartender from SIDETRACKS stopped by last night to pick up a copy of the 2 disc set of BEAR TRACKS 3.Bear Tracks is music from 4 countries and the 2 discs makes this the biggest bear tracks yet.It is loaded with Club Dance , Trance and Body Movin' Rock n Roll.It has over 2 1/2 hours of music.

THE PINK FLYER & DVD SIGNING at TWISTED

The Film Festival Flyer everyone is looking at with the latest details.Stu Maddux will also be at our store Monday the 25TH of June at 3:00 p.m. to sign copies of the DVD.It will be the official release of the DVD.This movie BOB and JACK'S 52 year ADVENTURE has not been available for sale until now and we are priviledged here in Little Rock to sell the first copies of this wonderful film.It is a Love Story between 2 men and one that has lasted at least 52 years.Feel free to stop in meet Stu and maybe get a signed copy of the film on DVD.

LOVE LIFE and I DO

My 100th post talks about the film I watched early this morning LOVE LIFE.I did enjoy the movie but I enjoyed the idea of the movie more than the actual movie as it was acted.I thought the acting was soft or should I say weak.I guess the characters are suppose to be weak having lived their lives as lies.I have been lucky to have been who I am throughout my entire life.I do remember in elementary school pretending to like this girl named Donna just because I thought it would be cool to have a girlfriend or something.I can't imagine having to pretend to be something your not into adulthood.I was fortunate to have been set free at an early age.No lies to carry forward.I am who I am take it or leave it for better or worse ... i LOVE LIFE.

GHOST RIDER : THE DEVIL'S BOUNTY HUNTER

This morning's entertainment was GHOST RIDER released on DVD yesterday.Our copy came from Best Buy because they were giving away a FREE 125 page hardcover book GHOST RIDER : THE VISUAL GUIDE.I enjoy Action films and Comic Book hero films so i was not disappointed here.Nicolas Cage does a great performance as Johnny Blaze bike daredevil by day and Ghost Rider the Devil's Bounty Hunter by night.

the LOST LANGUAGE of CRANES

I watched this film early this morning.I have seen it before.It is a moving drama about the damage that can be done by long-kept secrets.It is really quite amazing how little has changed since the film was made.The subject matter is still relevant today.Some married men are pretenting to be straight and living a lie and sneaking intimacies with other men whenever the chance affords itself.I imagine it has always gone on throughout our history and probably will continue for many years to come.This film THE LOST LANGUAGE OF THE CRANES is a well acted film and moves well from scene to scene.If you have never seen it you should.
