“Hung” is unquestionably my favorite film as it is so tongue in cheek. A magic potent allows five girls to be hung for one day. It is obvious what the aim of the day is but it is not easy for the girls to get used to that little something extra.
“Members Only” is a look at a girl who just can’t seem to get a date and Amy wonders if she is no longer appealing or is it because she is just not a member?
“Hi Maya” is the Swiss film that shows two women starting over on an old romance after a casual meeting in a beauty salon.
“Outside” is a futuristic film about loneliness. A young woman who is isolated in a steel bunker in the world of tomorrow faces her fears when she makes contact with an outsider.
“Airplanes” is about two young girls who meet and hook up at a carnival but as the day draws to a close their friendship is threatened.
The British film, “Can You Take It?” is seen through the eyes of a teenaged girl as she waits in a railroad station and watches a group of strangers who are detained.

I watched and enjoyed SHELTER last night.I like surfers and skateboarders especially good-looking ones so of course I was going to be drawn to this movie which is set close to the ocean.Zach has a on and off girlfriend and works dead-end jobs to help support his nephew.He has some art talents and wants to pursue them in art school but puts his family especially his nephew before his own desires.His best friends brother comes back to town and he falls unexpectantly in love with a guy.I won't give away the ending but it does come together in a nice way.I really liked the soundtrack also.If you haven't seen it yet do so.

TWO GEOLOGISTS & A SNAKE

Last saturday night ,not last night ,but the one before that, my friend Mikey came by and wanted me to go to a bar down the street called Easy Street.I have spoke of Easy Street before you may recall as the film festival was there last year and I think they are having one this year ,but I have no info on it.Any Hoo back to Mikey in the dark picture wearing black.I'm not a bar goer but I like Mikey and like talking about his rocks so I agreed to go.We decided to walk.It's just a short step down the street.I have never seen a snake in the streets of downtown Little Rock but I did that night.Crawling on the sidewalk was this slithering snake and as we approached the snake crawled up the wall and pecked his head towards the glass of Today's Office Furniture as if trying to get in.Mikey wasn't thrilled about meeting the snake anymore than I was.Mikey stopped by again last night and this time brought his friend and a geologist buddy Cajun who is visiting from Louisiana.Cajun is in the other picture which is another horrible picture but it is the best I got of his face.I will get another on his next visit.He is thinking about moving up here soon but then he and Mikey have the geology thing in common and they are a good fit.Cajun is one Hot Boi. The picture doesn't at all do him justice.

Don't forget Sweeney Todd opens this week at The Weekend Theater so get your reservations in as this show is sure to sell out.The pics are of Ralph Hyman or Sweeney Todd as he will be known for the next few weeks.These pics were taken Tuesday night as they were rehearsing and making final preperations.I did get a peek at the set and can't figure out why I didn't snap a few pics but I can tell you the set is fabulous.The set designers and builders need a special applause for this one.They really out did themselves.The barber chair is way to cool.Maybe I can sneek in and get a pic of it tomorrow and if so I will share it with you all.

I'm looking forward to my annual visit to Hooters in San Diego.I will dine there with some some Hard Core Collector Geek Buddies the last Wednesday in July.This guy popped into the neighborhood yesterday and his shirt reminded me of it.We always eat at Hooters on that Wednesday so the straight guys can get a eyefull of big boobs and watch the waitresses run around in skimpy clothing since most of them are married and at the convention away from their wives.
