SHOWING Y'ALL SOME LOVE

Just wanted to share a Cowboy with you all today.

RANDY & THE MOB Saturday October 6

Randy and the Mob is a feel good comedy about good ol'boy Randy Pearson, who can't seem to help getting in over his head. His business is in trouble and when long-standing debts become due to some mobster's it's time Randy swing into action. He needs help from his wife and gay twin brother. This movie is a powerful reminder of southern roots and how love and family can usually be counted on to trump all adversaries.Writer , Director , Actor RAY McKINNON will introduce the film and conduct a Q&A immediately following this special screening at MARKET STREET CINEMA.It will start at 7:00 p.m. on the night of October 6, 2007.This is a Gay-Friendly movie with a message of tolerance and I urge all of you to attend and support and meet the man behind the movie.Maybe ask some Questions and Listen & Learn. If you click on the post title you can go to the site where you can see a trailer for the film.

CRAZY COOL from FUNKO for 2008

OK so we pretty much know what Funko has in store for us in 2007 so why not a peek at 2008.Yes Funko has just gave us a look at some new releases for next year and I haven't a clue as to what the heck they are but cheese looks good.I've been told that these are characters from the show that got kids to say "I POOTED" after each fart.I thought everyone always said that as a kid.Anyways they are cool looking characters and I will probably like as much as those Happy Tree Friends.

BOGGY CREEK at CHILLERTV by ZACH H.

A good collector buddy of mine ZACH HIGGINS has made a movie called BOGGY CREEK and placed it on ChillerTV. This is a cool site where lots of want-a-be directors display their stuff.Lots of good films to check out.Boggy Creek is of course based on the film done here in Arkansas many years ago and based on the true story of the Fouke Monster.Check it out it is getting some good feedback. You can go to ChillerTv by clicking on the post title.

FUNKO NEWS FLASH

FUNKO has just put out their updated release schedule. While Star Wars is the name of the game a few others are of importance.I really like the blue Rat Fink wobbler since I've been so down in the dumps lately.Mr. Bean is a fun character so glad to see him released recently.

WEEKEND THEATER : TRIANGLE FACTORY FIRE

This coming weekend starts the WEEKEND THEATER'S run of TRIANGLE FACTORY FIRE.Feel the Heat and Smell the Smoke as the Weekend Theater acts out the actual words of survivors and witnesses of the deadly disaster that happened in New York City March 25th in the year 1911.

ALL I ever WANTED was to Catch!

When I was in young and growing up I played a little ball and always found myself in the outfield.I think I'm still playing the outfield always waiting for something to fly my way.If I were the pitcher or the catcher things would be more clear you would know where you stood and what was coming your way.Just standing there waiting for it to happen is a big waste of time.If I had the choice I would want to be the best CATCHER ever.

FAMILY GUY meets STAR WARS

If you missed the recently aired Family Guy episode dealing with Star Wars you missed a good episode.Try to find a friend who recorded it or wait till it's aired again. This is a must see for any true Star Wars Fan.

EUREKA PRIDE

There are a few forums here in Arkansas that offer tidbits of information to our growing community but one in particular stands out as being more active and fun and maybe we should say not boring like the others. If you have not visited and registered at Eureka Pride you should do so.Click on the post title or the link under other cool links --->

THE GYMNAST

When I was in my early years of High School around age 14 - 15 my best friend was attending classes during the summer months at Cal State Fullerton.I had nothing better to do than tag along and sit in on some awesome classes and look at all the hot guys.I would always manage to end up in the gym.Cal state Fullerton is known for all the trophies it has won in Gymnastics male and female.I always had my eye on won more than the other but I do enjoy good gymnasts of either sex.I watched THE GYMNAST yesterday and it was a good lesbian love story with the main character a famous olympic gymnast that was famous for failing. She failed not only to win a medal but married into a failed marriage as well. She is very unhappy until she has a chance to do something gymnastic in art and dance performance with another female that she soon falls in love with.It is a good story and well acted. You should check it out.

JOKE

TANLINES : no tan here

I didn't care for this movie much.It starts off depressing and slow and ends pretty much the same.Just as the surfers never actually surf the movie never moves... well it does move but from one depressing spot to the next depressing spot. The main character is a gay guy who has sex with a girl for money just as his mother is a woman who makes money through sex.He has no father as it could be anyone in town or out a town for that matter. He also falls in love with a guy who left town after being molested by his teacher. It a sucky story that didn't do it for me and was poorly acted as well.If you must see this film rent it don't buy.It is not a keeper.

SMALL TOWN GAY BAR : mississippi hate

Quite a few years ago when I was in the Army about to finish my 10 years of military service stationed at Fort Rucker Alabama I would travel often through Mississippi to Arkansas to visit Family. One time when I had received news that my father had died from a heart attack I was rushing to my Grandparents house and when going through a small town in Mississippi I came up to a rest area and dashed in to relieve myself as I had been drinking coffee non-stop.While I was in the rest room the people who lived across from the rest area came over with baseball bats and beat my windshield in with bats shattering the glass into small fragments but still holding together making it virtually impossible to see out of.It was one of the scariest moments of my life.I was sent on a wild goose chase to find a police constable or whatever they call them there and went down long dirt roads into what seemed hell to get a police report and when I finally found his house all decked out in the standard hate flags and such he told me (thinking I was some straight military person) that I had made the mistake of stopping at The Fruit Stand. To be honest I don't know for sure but I think I was more scared at the small town Mississippi cops house than inside the rest room listening to my car's windows be beat in.SMALL TOWN GAY BAR is a well done documentary movie about growing up gay in those same small towns with small minded hateful people.I highly suggest you see this film.It is a moving and insightful documentation of a few of the bars and the struggles of their survivals and demises.

FUNKO WACKY WOBBLERS : MARVEL & STAR WARS

Three new wobbler designs have been released to us die-hard fans. The Gamorrean Guard is a great looking Wobbler to compliment the grow Star Wars line and the first 2 of the Marvel Wobblers are also being shown to us IRON MAN and THE INCREDIBLE HULK.I think the funko artists have done a good job with all three.

FEHER TENYER : WHITE PALMS

This is a great movie of the sports genre. It is about facing that that is wrong with you and moving on to the next big thing. It is based on a true story and the main athlete plays himself.I did find the beginning somewhat slow but it picked up and never let up.I give it 9 out of 10 stars so seek out this gem of a film.It is being released in the USA under the name WHITE PALMS....Yes that's TOM CRUISE who helped with the film but is not seen in it.

RED HOT

If anything stuck out today it was the color red.Red is hot and is a strong color that conjures up emotions from passionate love to violent killing. In our neighborhood Vino's Top Chef chose to wear red shirt as did lots of other people. The hot looking fireman stood by the red bench under a red light.Hurley while wearing a black shirt drinks a red jungle juice concoction but one of his friends did wear red.The male escort van was parked in our lot for several hours and to no surprise the color red is used to reach a target crowd. Finally yes folks that is a guy in the red shirt standing at the corner with a large yellow heart on his chest sporting his capri pants which conjurs up a whole other post...guys wearing capri's what gives?

OLD WHITE CAR

I spotted this old white car down the street at Rufus Fender Mender's.I have always had a thing for old cars and just had to take a picture and share it with you all and besides it got me out of the store for my long overdue walk.

SIX YEARS AGO TODAY

BOY CULTURE

Hitting the store shelves this week is a very good gay themed movie called BOY CULTURE.I watched it early this morning and right away got a sense that the two main characters "X" and ANDREW belonged together just like PEANUT BUTTER and JELLY.I could relate to a lot of the story having a hustling background in my late teens and a stone cold interior. The story touches on several topics that are currant in our day to day lives such as DRUGS , INTERACIAL DATING , HUSTLING , MARRIAGE , SEX and LOVE.It is a dramatic story with lots of humor and a whole lot of good looking men.
